Clipr is a Saas product that allows publishers, brands and advertisers to create stories like Instagram, directly on their websites. This project results in a 1+ year freelance collaboration with the Clipr co-founders, Nathaniel and Emmanuel.
I was in charge of the overall design missions. I created the logo and the brand book, the design system, and all the screens of the app itself. It was a pleasure to work with such goal-driven people. Designing a product also allowed me to go outside of my comfort zone, which is one of the main reason I accepted this freelance work in the first place.
One of the concept I always had in mind while creating those screens was minimalism. We made it clear with the founders at the very beginning of the project that it was a core value to follow.
As the life of the app comes from imported pieces of videos and photos, we wanted the app to be as clean as possible in order to fade out behind the visuals themselves.
All of the screens were designed using a strict design system, built in the meantime. Every component is therefore precisely specified, having in mind the integration process. It has been a continuous effort with the dev team, and we add new components to the design system every time there’s a need.
